NAME

WWW::Search::Yahoo - class for searching Yahoo

SYNOPSIS

  use WWW::Search;
  my $oSearch = new WWW::Search('Yahoo');
  my $sQuery = WWW::Search::escape_query("+sushi restaurant +Columbus Ohio");
  $oSearch->native_query($sQuery);
  while (my $oResult = $oSearch->next_result())
    print $oResult->url, "\n";

DESCRIPTION

This class is a Yahoo specialization of WWW::Search. It handles making and interpreting Yahoo searches http://www.yahoo.com.

You can also search Yahoo Korea. Just add this search_base_url to your search setup:

  $oSearch->native_query($sQuery,
                         {'search_base_url' => 'http://search.yahoo.co.kr'});

This class exports no public interface; all interaction should be done through WWW::Search objects.

NOTES

The default search is: Yahoo's Inktomi-based index (not usenet); "OR" of all query terms (not "AND").

SEE ALSO

To make new back-ends, see WWW::Search.
