Option --light or --dark is set by -Mautocolor module according to the brightness of the terminal screen. You can override them in your ~/.sdifrc like:
option --light --cmy option --dark --dark-cmy
App::sdif::autocolor, App::sdif::autocolor::Apple_Terminal
To install App::sdif, copy and paste the appropriate command in to your terminal.
