<B>Note</B>: this routine is really only useful when using
<A HREF="ars_MergeEntry.html">ars_MergeEntry</A>. This routine
is a <I>helper</I> routine and does not alter
<CODE>$ars_errstr</CODE> if an error occurs. There is no
<CODE>ars_DecodeDiary</CODE> routine.
