THERMO ELECTRON <TMO> CONSIDERS UNIT STAKE SALE
  Thermo Electron Corp said it has
  entered into talks with underwriters on the possible public
  sale of a minority interest in its packaged cogeneration
  systems subsidiary, Tecogen Inc.
      The company also said it plans to offer convertible
  subordinated debentures publicly.
      It gave no further details.
