BELL RESOURCES BOOSTS STAKE IN BHP
  <Bell Resources Ltd> said it has executed
  an underwriting agreement with <Equiticorp Tasman Ltd> to
  acquire 57.6 mln ordinary shares in The Broken Hill Pty Co Ltd
  <BRKN.S> for 540 mln dlrs.
      Bell said in a statement that it now holds 29.93 pct of
  BHP's 1.2 billion shares.
