NAME

get-idx-daily-trading-summary - Get daily trading summary

VERSION

This document describes version 0.006 of get-idx-daily-trading-summary (from Perl distribution App-IDXUtils), released on 2021-01-17.

SYNOPSIS

Usage:

 % get-idx-daily-trading-summary [--day=s] [--debug] [--format=name]
     [--json] [--log-level=level] [--month=s] [--(no)naked-res]
     [--page-result[=program]] [--quiet] [--trace] [--verbose]
     [--view-result[=program]] [--year=s] [date]

DESCRIPTION

This will retrieve end-of-day data for a single trading day, containing list of stock names along with their opening price, closing price, highest price, lowest price, volume, frequency, foreign buy & sell volume, etc.

To specify date you can either specify date (epoch, or YYYY-MM-DD string in command-line, which will be coerced to epoch) or day, month, year.

The data for still-trading current day will not be available, so if you are looking for intraday data, this is not it.

At the time of this writing (2021-01-17), the data goes back to Jan 1st, 2015. If you are looking for older data, you can visit one of the financial data websites like Bloomberg.

OPTIONS

* marks required options.

Main options

--date=s
--day=s
--month=s
--year=s

Logging options

--debug

Shortcut for --log-level=debug.

--log-level=s

Set log level.

--quiet

Shortcut for --log-level=error.

--trace

Shortcut for --log-level=trace.

--verbose

Shortcut for --log-level=info.

Output options

--format=s

Choose output format, e.g. json, text.

Default value:

 undef
--json

Set output format to json.

--naked-res

When outputing as JSON, strip result envelope.

Default value:

 0

By default, when outputing as JSON, the full enveloped result is returned, e.g.:

    [200,"OK",[1,2,3],{"func.extra"=>4}]

The reason is so you can get the status (1st element), status message (2nd element) as well as result metadata/extra result (4th element) instead of just the result (3rd element). However, sometimes you want just the result, e.g. when you want to pipe the result for more post-processing. In this case you can use `--naked-res` so you just get:

    [1,2,3]
--page-result

Filter output through a pager.

--view-result

View output using a viewer.

Other options

--help, -h, -?

Display help message and exit.

--version, -v

Display program's version and exit.
