test-sah-filter-modules - Test all Data::Sah::Filter::* modules in distribution

VERSION

This document describes version 0.005 of test-sah-filter-modules (from Perl distribution Test-Sah-Filter), released on 2022-10-17.

SYNOPSIS

In your dist directory:

 % test-sah-filter-modules [options] [included_module]...

Examples:

 # test all Data::Sah::Filter::* modules in dist
 % test-sah-filter-modules

 # only test a single module
 % test-sah-filter-modules --include-module perl::Str::check

 # only test a couple of modules
 % test-sah-filter-modules perl::Str::check js::Str::downcase

 # do not test JS filters
 % test-sah-filter-modules --notest-js
 % test-sah-filter-modules --no-test-js-filters

DESCRIPTION

This script is a command-line interface for Test::Sah::Filter's sah_filter_modules_ok() function.

OPTIONS

  • --include-modules=s

    Include a module. Can be specified multiple times. If specified then only included modules will be tested.

  • --exclude-modules=s

    Exclude a module. Can be specified multiple times.

  • -E

    This sets test_examples to 0 to skip testing examples in filter modules.

  • --no-test-js-filters

    This sets test_js_filters to 0 to skip Data::Sah::Filter::js::* modules.

  • --no-test-perl-filters

    This sets test_perl_filters to 0 to skip Data::Sah::Filter::perl::* modules.

Most of the time, you don't need to build the distribution yourself. You can simply modify the code, then test via:

 % prove -l

If you want to build the distribution (e.g. to try to install it locally on your system), you can install Dist::Zilla, Dist::Zilla::PluginBundle::Author::PERLANCAR, Pod::Weaver::PluginBundle::Author::PERLANCAR, and sometimes one or two other Dist::Zilla- and/or Pod::Weaver plugins. Any additional steps required beyond that are considered a bug and can be reported to me.
