This is the initial version of my module to extract module versions without running module code. I stole most of it from PAUSE's mldistwatch.

Extract a module version without running code

in lib/VERSION.pm

To install Module::Extract::VERSION, copy and paste the appropriate command in to your terminal.

cpanm Module::Extract::VERSION

perl -MCPAN -e shell
install Module::Extract::VERSION
