Changes for version 1.000 - 2026-10-04
- First release.
- Reads SIXEL images: 7-bit and 8-bit control strings, RGB and HLS colour definitions, raster attributes, transparent backgrounds, registers redefined while painting, several images per stream, and truncated data on request.
- Writes SIXEL images with adaptive (histogram splitting refined by k-means), web-safe or caller supplied palettes, Floyd-Steinberg, ordered or no dithering, and transparency.
- Encodes 640 x 480 frames in 3 to 16 milliseconds on a current desktop CPU, fast enough for animations at 60 frames per second, with output typically smaller than libsixel's for the same pixels.
