Changes for version 0.3215 - 2026-10-06
- read_table(): Excel workbooks
- Reading a workbook no longer leaks memory on perl 5.32. Finding the sheets and relationships compiled a fresh regex on every call, one per attribute name, and 5.32's regex compiler leaks the character lists it builds for \s and \w on each compile. 0.3214 failed 14 leak tests on a 5.32.1 CPAN smoker for this. Each pattern is now compiled once and kept.
- Tests
- test.all.perls.pl now lists every stable perl series, 5.10 to the newest installed, that the local matrix has no perl from. A bug in one perl's own internals shows only on that perl, and the matrix went from 5.16.3 to 5.42.3, so nothing here could see the leak above. A 5.32.1 perl has been added to the matrix; it fails the same 14 subtests without the fix.
