Contributions are welcome through GitHub pull requests.
Submitting a contribution
By submitting a pull request, you represent that:
- you have the right to submit the contribution;
- the contribution is your original work or you have all required permissions to submit it;
- you have not knowingly included confidential, protected, patented, or otherwise restricted material without authorization; and
- you have disclosed all known third-party code, copyright notices, licenses, and patent obligations that affect the contribution.
If a contribution includes third-party material, identify it in the pull request and include all required notices and license terms.
Copyright and license grant
You retain copyright in your contribution. By submitting it, you grant the author and copyright holder of this library and the project a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, improve, publish, distribute, sublicense, sell, offer for sale, import, and otherwise exploit the contribution as part of this project or any derivative work.
This grant permits use of the contribution under this project's current or future proprietary, commercial, evaluation, educational, or open-source licenses. It also includes a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free patent license for patent claims that you control and that are necessarily infringed by your contribution.
The grant takes effect when the pull request is submitted, whether or not it is accepted. No further permission, payment, or approval is required for the project owner to exercise these rights.
Acceptance and attribution
A contribution becomes part of the project when its pull request is submitted to the project's repository. A submitted contribution is included in the project's codebase or a release only if it is accepted and merged. The project owner may accept, reject, modify, combine, improve, or remove any contribution.
Accepted contributors may be listed in project acknowledgements. Attribution does not limit the rights granted above.
