- Calendars: a value is read in any of thirteen calendars (calendar => on every constructor, in_calendar, era, era_year, month_code, is_leap_month, months_in_year, related_year and Time::Keeper::Calendar.
- Arithmetic in a calendar: plus, minus, the difference, until, truncate, round, end_of, the weekday adjusters and range count the calendar's months; years by name keep the month by its code.
- The Chinese, Dangi and astronomical Hijri calendars (islamic, islamic-rgsa), from tables of what ICU computes for the years 1000 to 3000; cyclic_year.
- Builds on Strawberry Perl: a local in from_object was named tzname, which MinGW's time.h defines as a macro.
