- new interface: shuffle($sequence, $k) returns the shuffled string, Ushuffle::Shuffler gives repeated shuffles of one sequence, and set_seed seeds the random number generator
- removed shuffle($s, $t, $l, $k), shuffle1 and shuffle2, which wrote into a caller-supplied buffer without checking its size
- the random number generator is seeded when the module is loaded
- safe to use from several threads; calls into the library are serialized
- requires perl 5.10.1
- bundled library updated to https://github.com/s-will/ushuffle master (commit 2c4b8f3), i.e. release 1.2.2 plus a fix for an integer overflow in the hash function on sequences of tens of millions of characters
- the library is compiled as part of the extension; the module files are no longer generated with h2xs
