VERSION

This document describes version 0.002 of App::GnuplotUtils (from Perl distribution App-GnuplotUtils), released on 2020-12-10.

DESCRIPTION

This distributions provides the following command-line utilities. They are mostly simple/convenience wrappers for gnuplot:

FUNCTIONS

xyplot

xyplot(%args) -> [status, msg, payload, meta]

Plot XY dataset(s) using gnuplot.

Example input1.txt, each line contains whitespace-separated values of X data (number), Y data (number):

 1 1
 2 3
 3 5.5
 4 7.9
 6 11.5

Example using xyplot (one data-set):

 % xyplot < input1.txt

Example input2.txt:

 1 8
 2 12
 3 5
 4 4
 6 8

Using two datasets:

 % xyplot --dataset-file input1.txt --dataset-file input2.txt \
          --dataset-color red --dataset-color blue \
          --dataset-style linespoints --dataset-style points

Keywords: xychart, XY chart, XY plot

This function is not exported.
