NAME

App::lcpan::Cmd::outdated - lcpan version of cpan-outdated

VERSION

This document describes version 0.02 of App::lcpan::Cmd::outdated (from Perl distribution App-lcpan-CmdBundle-ver), released on 2016-01-21.

FUNCTIONS

handle_cmd(%args) -> [status, msg, result, meta]

lcpan version of cpan-outdated.

Like cpan-outdated utility, this subcommand also checks the versions of installed modules and compares them against the database. If the installed version is older, will show the release files. The output can then be fed to cpanm, for example.

Thanks to the data already in SQLite format, it can be faster than cpan-outdated.

This function is not exportable.

Arguments ('*' denotes required arguments):

  • cpan => str

    Location of your local CPAN mirror, e.g. /path/to/cpan.

    Defaults to ~/cpan.

  • index_name => str (default: "index.db")

    Filename of index.

Returns an enveloped result (an array).

First element (status) is an integer containing HTTP status code (200 means OK, 4xx caller error, 5xx function error). Second element (msg) is a string containing error message, or 'OK' if status is 200. Third element (result) is optional, the actual result. Fourth element (meta) is called result metadata and is optional, a hash that contains extra information.

Return value: (any)
