added support for some Garmin devices (eTrex vista/vista c, gecko)
beginning support for route up/download
documentation improvements
use "weaken" to avoid circular references (and thus leaking filehandles, which could lead to blocking GPS up/downloads)
"return_as_hash" feature
all VERSIONs incremented to 1.something (which does not mean any improvements in stability)
