Changes for version 1.16 - 2026-11-06
- Take * and ** as emphasis only where CommonMark does: "L*=50, a*=68" is no longer shown in italic. As in pandoc, this also rejects delimiters between Japanese text and its punctuation, such as a closing ** after a corner bracket; cjk_friendly=1 (--config cjk_friendly=1) takes the rules of markdown-cjk-friendly instead
- Make h4 to h6 bold, and give h4 a double underline with the new default theme doubleline, in the terminals known to show ESC[4:2m. h3 has the same color as h2
- Remove the escape sequences of the file other than colors, also in their 8-bit forms, so that a file cannot change the window title or the clipboard; a theme name with a slash is not looked up
- --theme and --no-theme on the command line override default[theme] of config.sh, and the md_config and pass_md entries of config.sh are given only once
- Fold a quote line whose marker color has a colon, such as ESC[4:3m
- Add --ts as a short name of --table-style
- Compile on perl 5.26 again; require Text::ANSI::Fold 2.38 and Term::ANSIColor::Concise 3.03
