- Tarball
- What is tracked in git ships, for core and drivers alike, dotfiles and agent setup included. Only META.yml, META.json, MANIFEST, README, README.md and .karr stay out.
- GatherAgentContext snapshots the agent context into misc/agent-context/ of the tarball as build provenance.
- Release
- TestRelease, Test::ChangesHasContent and InstallRelease (cpanm .) run before ConfirmRelease, for core and drivers.
- New plugin DBIO::LicenseFile checks the committed LICENSE against the dist's license, with heritage = 1 against the DBIx::Class text. A missing or deviating file stops the build.
- Versioning
- Every module under lib/ carries a literal $VERSION that is rewritten and bumped in step on release (drivers).
- Core generates xt/author/version-lockstep.t, which fails and names each module whose $VERSION is missing or differs from the main module's.
- Tests
- New plugin DBIO::PodCheckerTest generates xt/author/pod-checker.t. It runs Pod::Checker over the built POD and fails on any error, such as an unresolved internal link.
- The generated coverage.t scores a plain coverage run by merging the runs of a fresh cover_db; a missing cover_db fails under RELEASE=1 and skips otherwise. Unblessed statement entries count as not covered.
- Skills
- DBIO::GatherSkills leaves skilletor's per-skill .gitignore out of share/skills/. A skill named by share_skill or skill whose directory is missing stops the build.
- Pod::Weaver
- @DBIO and @DBIO::Heritage collect =seealso into a SEE ALSO section after the other body sections and before AUTHOR.
- Documentation
- README and bundle POD describe the implemented bundle: the coverage gate, Codeberg-only DBIO::CodebergMeta, the [ExtraTests] promotion of xt/author, xt/release and xt/smoke, and DBIO::SetMeta.
- Dependencies
- Requires Dist::Zilla::Plugin::InstallRelease, LicenseFile, Test::ChangesHasContent, TestRelease and GatherAgentContext; the tests use Pod::Simple.
